Ingredients

  • 8 dried Chinese mushrooms
  • 6 water chestnuts
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 slice ginger, shredded
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 8 small leaves of Napa cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 carrot, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup shredded bamboo shoots
  • 1/4 cup fresh or canned bamboo pith
  • 1/4 cup agar strips, soaked and shredded
  • 1/4 cup bean thread noodles, soaked and cut into 3-inch lengths
  • 1/4 cup snow peas, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup canned baby corn, sliced
  • 1/4 cup textured vegetable protein, soaked for 15 minutes and drained
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
