Zongzi

Zongzi is a traditional Chinese food made from glutinous rice that is stuffed with various fillings, wrapped in bamboo leaves, and then steamed or boiled. The filling can vary depending on the region, but can include pork belly, salted egg yolk, mushrooms, peanuts, and other flavorful ingredients. The bamboo leaves impart a subtle aroma to the rice and filling while also giving the dish a distinctive pyramid shape. Zongzi is often eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival in China, but is enjoyed throughout the year as a popular snack or meal. The dish can be eaten on its own or with a dipping sauce, and is enjoyed by people of all ages.
